I’ve recently collaborated with Shewstone Publishing LLC to define the visual identity of their latest expansion for Drintera. The project focuses on Throntru, a fantasy continent deeply rooted in Indigenous North American cultures, moving away from traditional Eurocentric tropes toward a landscape defined by "dream logic" and heroic myth.
My task was to ground this ethereal concept into something tangible. My contributions included:
The Kickstarter Cover Art: A piece designed to capture the scale and the specific atmosphere of Throntru’s environment.
World & Regional Maps: I handled the cartography, focusing on a style that feels like a functional artifact of the world itself—ancient, weathered, but precise.
Interior Illustrations: Various pieces to populate the upcoming worldbuilding book, maintaining a consistent gritty realism across the board.
For this setting, we avoided high-fantasy shine in favor of a more textured, grounded aesthetic. The goal was to make the "dream logic" elements feel like a natural, if unsettling, part of the physical world.
The project is currently live on Kickstarter. You can see the full scope of the worldbuilding and how these visuals integrate into the TTRPG setting here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/shewstonepublishing/drintera-fantasy-ttrpg-world-2025?ref=ksr_email_mktg_auto_user_watched_project_launched
